URI researchers develop new test for coronavirus, launch clinical trial

(University of Rhode Island) Researchers at the University of Rhode Island have developed a new saliva-based COVID-19 test. Researchers say the non-PCR based test is sensitive, specific, and can deliver results at a lower cost than traditional nasal swab tests.
